Comparing Attachments Across Runs
Easily compare images across multiple runs of the same procedure to identify visual differences, track changes over time, and maintain a complete audit trail of uploaded attachments.
This feature allows you to open any image attachment in a run and quickly view it side-by-side with images submitted for the same field in previous runs.
What This Feature Is Used For
Quality Assurance
Spot inconsistencies, unexpected variations, and visual discrepancies in screenshots, test results, or documentation.
Iterative Testing
See how a scenario, environment, or test output evolves over repeated executions of the same procedure.
Audit Trails
Maintain a visual history of what was submitted for every run, ensuring complete traceability and compliance.
Adding an Attachment
To compare images, you must first attach one to a field.
Click the camera icon or attachment area in the field input.
Choose Upload from Computer or Choose from File Storage.
Once uploaded, the attachment appears as a thumbnail in the step.
Click the thumbnail to open the enlarged image viewer.
From this viewer, you can choose to compare the image with historical images from previous runs.
Comparing Images Across Runs
Click Compare Images in the top-right corner of the viewer to open the comparison mode.
Comparison mode provides:
Left side: The current run’s attachment
Right side: A gallery of images from past runs for the same procedure field
Use the arrow buttons to navigate between historical images, and click an attachment to select it and view on the right pane.
Inserting an Image from a Past Run
If a past image is more accurate or relevant, you can insert it directly into the current run.
Click one of the past images in the comparison panel.
Click on the linked name of the step to insert the selected attachment.
This allows you to reuse validated images or maintain consistency across repetitive tasks.
Limitations
Image comparisons work only with image attachments.
(Other file types such as PDFs, videos, or documents cannot be compared side-by-side.)
