Copy / Paste / Delete Keyboard Shortcuts

Copying and pasting is an integral part of all our workflows, and now it’s part of your E3 workflow with the new clipboard!

Users can copy a block/step/section into the clipboard via the left context menu, or the beloved CTRL+C or CMD+C.

Users can paste a block/step/section from the clipboard via the left context menu, or the beloved CTRL+V or CMD+V.

Copy and Paste operations can work across different procedures and snippets within the same workspace!

Users can delete a block/step/section via the left context menu, the x in the top right corner, or selecting the block/step/section and using the DELETE key on their keyboard.

Multi-Select Actions

Select multiple blocks, steps, or sections at once using CTRL/CMD-click to add each one to the selection.

Copy, paste, or delete the entire multi-selection together, just as you would a single item, via the context menu, keyboard shortcuts, or the DELETE key.

Works across sections, steps, and content blocks, and across different procedures and snippets in the same workspace (same cross-procedure behavior as single-item copy/paste).

Copying from a Run into a Draft

You can copy a step or section directly from a Run and paste it into a Draft procedure; no need to enter edit mode or suggest an edit first.

Pasted content comes in as blank draft content: any values, sign-offs, comments, or other run-specific data are cleared out on paste
