Offline Mode

When you lose internet connectivity you can still work in Offline Mode and the changes will sync when connection is re-established.

Enable Offline Mode

By default, a user will not be able to start a run of a procedure while OFFLINE unless OFFLINE mode is enabled for that procedure.

To enable OFFLINE mode, navigate to the Procedure Library and select the checkbox next to one or more procedures.

Once checked, the button will be visible.

Selecting will allow for starting new runs while OFFLINE for all of the procedures selected.

Working Offline

In the Procedure Library there will be a check next to any procedure that is available for Offline Mode.

When OFFLINE, a user will see an indicator at the bottom of the screen denoting you are currently offline.

You can start a new run of the procedure but will see a notification indicating that you are offline and may not have the latest version of this procedure

Click OK to continue on to the new run.

You can only start a new run for procedures which have been enabled for Offline Mode. Runs that have already been started while online will still be available OFFLINE whether Offline Mode is enabled or not.

Changes or inputs made to running procedures will sync when back online.

If multiple users are working on the same procedure OFFLINE, the first data to sync back is retained and IS NOT overwritten by any subsequent syncs.

For example:

User A and User B are both OFFLINE and inputting data into the same table on the same step. User B comes back online first, and the data they entered syncs to the procedure. Later, User A comes back online but does not see their data in the table any more as User B's data is already there.

As soon as you are back online the changes will sync automatically

When the "Syncing..." notification goes away all of the actions or changes have been synced back up to the server

Tip!

Steps can be completed or skipped in OFFLINE mode. Timestamps will be saved with the current time of execution and uploaded to the cloud once the tablet or computer goes back online.
