Adding Batch steps in Edit
In Edit mode of a procedure, click the gear icon in the top right corner of the step(s) that should be batched and toggle on the Batch Step disabled/enabled toggle.
Repeat Step and Suggested Edits are disabled for Batched Steps.
This needs to be enabled for any / all steps that need to be batched. There is not a way to default to Bach Step enabled or to turn it on for all steps with one setting.
The number of batches (how many times the step needs to be run) will be selected at the start of each run and needs to be the same for all batched steps.
A batched step with dependencies, conditionals, field references etc will match to the corresponding tab of subsequent batched steps.
Running Batch Steps
When starting a run of a batched procedure, you will be prompted to enter the number of batches.
The tabs essentially work like 3 separate runs of the same step(s) so that tab 1 on step 1.1 corresponds to tab 1 on steps 1.2, 1.3, and 1.4. You can sign off on tab 1 and tab 2 and 3 can still be active. A conditional from tab 1 can lead to a different step than the same conditional on tab 2 etc.
Adding a non-batched step with a reference, conditional, dependency etc to a batched step will only link to the highest tab number (tab 3 in the example above) so it is recommended that all steps which reference a batched step in any way also be batched.
